Brake light switch question

Installed lightech rearsets today and have a question about wiring the switch, I understand the gist of it but wonder if there is a specific way to splice into the brake light switch (does polarity matter) or is there some other trick to it. Thanks

Brake light switches are generally just through devices so polarity doesn't matter. LEDs care, but not switches, generally.
