Good morning Fellas, I wanted to quickly say hello and let you know I'll be one of your neighbors for a while.. My name is Corey Allan and I live up in the Mid Coast reigon of Maine.. I've been riding Ducs for 20 years and have owned a couple Pasos, a sssp, and a tribute 916sps. Unfortunatly 2 years ago I was forced to sell a couple bikes from my meager collection to fund a house purchase, while I didtn regret it I was really upset about selling the superbike.. So, fast forward a couple years and lifes good I'm still riding my 907 but each bike has a purpose and, well, you know the 907 isnt exactly known for its agility which prompts my need/desire for another superbike.. I was looking at all kinda of stuff rsv4, 06 gsxr1000, 998, etc over the last few weeks with a certain budget in mind but when I broke it down it didnt make any sense to compromise and thus the 1199 is what Ive settled on. I hope to have one in my possession within the next two weeks, itll probably be a 12 or 13 std as that is what im finincially able to swing.. Ive got my mechanic and a Duc rep friend of ours looking currently so wish me luck. Thanks for having me and I look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome, Larry, theres a 2013 S model for sale in Georgia for cheap. Would need it transported up but who knows. Maybe a dealer would be able to take care of that for you. The dealer in GA is Mountain Motorsports of Roswell.

Good luck with your search!

Hi Larry,
Good luck with the search I hope you find I nice clean bargain!
Enjoy the forum and post some pics when you get the Panigale

Thanks fellas! I'm hot on the trail of a few in New England but I'll for sure check out that one in Ga. You can absolutely count on pics and I've already contacted Phil for his glorious sound makers...

Can you link that to me, I don't seem to see it on their site?

Afternoon fellas. So, I found a bike and bought it.
It's a 12 with 2100 miles, Termi slip-ons, comfort seat, Pazzo levers, HID kit, full service records, all recalls and TSBs addressed.
I was actually looking at some stock bikes but people wanted just shy of what I ended up buying this one for. I ordered a Werks fender eliminator
black front fender, crg lane splitter, and mirror block offs w LED signals.. I'll end up picking it up on Wed and stop at my Tech's house who wrenches
on all my Ducs to set up the suspension for me.

If you look hard enough, I believe there's still some new 12/13s out there.

Bingo. They're still out there. A few demo rides as well. I skipped the demo option though. Was too expensive still.

And now the bugs are all worked out of the 12's and 13's. So no worries there either.

Finally got the bike home last night 0130 am...
Question, this bike has the up map with the Termi slipons, seems like it runs rich @ start up, like burn your eyes rich; then all of a sudden it seems like it leans right out and runs normal in terms of exhaust gasses.. Is this normal? The bike has had all of its normal services and such w all recalls and TSBs addressed..
Also, I've got a couple sets of Renthal full diamond grips in stock, I was looking at the clipons and they seems larger than average. Anyone know if the std full diamond g148 will fit w/out any issues? Thanks guys.

Welcome!

Ferraci has a leftover 2014S for $19,000. I'm sure they're willing to work with you on fees to get it sold.
Why pay these guys $15000-$17000 for a used one?

Additionally, once you get your bike PLEASE remove the charcoal canister. We've had an outrageous amount of people choking the forum with "starting issues." Not only will it save your weight a few ounces but will definitely benefit you hot starting this bike should you ever have them.

You'll find the thread here: http://ducati1299.com/guides/12972-how-charcoal-canister-removal.html

I already bought the bike, the pics are of it in my garage... Will do on the charcoal canister, asap... Thank you.
Currently working on the horrible handling (compaired to my "set up" 916). Turn in isn't anywhere as easy and fluid as my old bike and effort required is a lot more.. Anybody have a decent road/track day set of settings they want to pass on? My mechanic is 2.5hrs away and he usually sets up the bike but I've got to do something with this thing... I'm so desperate I was going to use these, just as a place to start... Obviously the sag will have to get set too, which I will need some help with..

So... I taked to my mechanic this morning and we discussed some suspension settings, he also said I may have a set of bad forks based on my feedback. I dialed in the Preload/Comp/Rebound and dialed it out then set everything in the middle of the range. At this point I had this: https://youtu.be/19p6MyRFe94
