just wondering if the plastic heat shield on top of the exhaust, where it bends underneath the seat. Is there a carbon fibre accessory for that from ducati cause i didn't see one.

i'd imagine that a carbon fibre one would be a better heat shield for the exhaust under the seat.

Actually it is steel not plastic, interesting question though
I think something that is gold plated would be better:D

yes steel, of course. Otherwise it would melt. :D

somehow, everytime i look at it i think it's plastic. hahah

i think i'd buy one if there was a carbon fibre one available.

a gold plated one would definitely be taking it to whole another level. Not sure how long it would last when people find out about it though.

Not sure but would the Carbon fiber be able to handle the sustained heat? Can it delaminate or the gel coat be affected?

Ducati sells a carbon heat shield for $3,499. Only catch is it comes with a Termi full system.

hahhaha free full termi exhaust with a $3499 heat shield !!

I had arkro carbon exhaust on my R1 before and after riding it was hot to touch but after about 10-15mins it was cool to touch so that's why i thought it would be good to have a carbon fibre heat shield there. But not very good that you can't get it separately from the full termi system.

Exhsaust Heat

I took the shield off and lined the inside with the silver heat shield used on cars and other very high heat areas. Got mine at a high performance race car shop. Works very well.

The Termi carbon fiber I've seen is hidious and i won't be putting one my Pani.

Oh... I know, ride the bike...I don't feel any heat on mine but then again I am not parked a Starbucks revving my motor.

I'd be happy to take it off your hands sir! Sick for all things carbon.
