I have the workshop manual (from motorcycleservicemanual.com), but it it contains two contradicting numbers.

The torque table says bolts are M12 and are torqued to 25 Nm, whereas the hub refitting instructions say the bolts are M10 and the torque is 20 Nm.

Both seem low.

Can anyone share instructions?

Agree that does seem low however, it is totally adequate

those pinch bolts do not require a whole lot of torque to be affective.

I’ve had mine marked for years and never seen them budge.

The issue isn't the torque for the bolt size, it's the cast aluminium piece it's threading into.

Meaning over-tightening is bad? I agree completely. I will follow the factory specs, just asking for a confirmation.

Very bad. It would be very easy to cause cracks in the material surrounding the bolts.

I adjusted the chain, and tightened the pinch bolts to 25 Nm. They went a few degrees further than they were from the factory, so I guess the 25 Nm was correct.

I also marked mine after adjusting the chain, though these marks won't tell you if the eccentric slips in the clamp, so I also marked the adjustment ring relative to the clamp.
