Took delivery this past Wednesday after waiting a week to fix oil leak from oil filter cover. Within 30 miles noticed metal shavings on rear wheel and swingarm. Found chain rubbing swingarm, near front behind pegs, rubbing brace on inside.
Took to dealer today. They insist I leave till they find problem. Looks like the chain wants to ride towards the center of the bike. Kinda sucks, first halfway decent day I could have rode. Bike now has 85 miles. The heat it almost unbearable. It was 91 hear today. Hopefully this is an isolated problem.

Gulf coast in Ft Myers.. Bunch of great guys. It's not their fault.. Kinda sucks thou.. I want to be out riding!!!

Sounds like the rear hub may be out of alignment, which can happen on single sided swingarm bikes, tho I've never had the misfortune.

Update. The dealer found the problem after. Few days there. The factory had installed the front sprocket on backwards!
The front sprocket only has a shoulder on one side. If installed backwards chain rubs swingarm.

Really sucky deal is its been raining since I got it back... Hopefully this weekend the rain will end!!! It's got a whopping 94 miles on it!!!!

chain hitting swing arm?

does anyone else have this issue?

hitting area behind gear shift on the swing arm.

did you submit the complaint to the NHTSA and Ducati?

I am having the same issue of chain rubbing on swing arm and submitted just in case to both.

worried chain could break at speed or if it weakens the swing arm.

Terrible thing. that's nuts, but attests to a the handbuilt nature of these machines. I don't think the Japanese factories would let one out with something like this as there are checks and measures that confirm assembly of every single part. Not knocking Ducati in any way as I appreciate the handbuilt nature of our machines.
