Yes sir! No reason not to, there are very simple chest protectors now that can be put in place with any suit. You just stick it in there before zipping up the suit and the rubber grip pads on it will hold it in place. I use the RS Taichi one, and it comes in both 4mm and 8mm thickness so it will fit inside any suit no matter how snug it is.
