CIV Mugello #51 Pirro's got good bits

The bike shots are all from inside the Barni Racing paddock.
The grid shot is from the roof over the restaurant. I watched the races from what you can see in that grid shot across atop the VIP lounge, top floor of the Grand Stands.
That's the best spot I've been. You can see 80% of the track up there and the wind seems to just go around it. Clever design.

Yeah been there for a couple of GPSđź‘Ť
Other side this year

One of the mechanics had a tall arosol spray bottle, that was covered with tape so I couldn't see what it was. He was spraying the foot pegs and hand levers with it and whipping it off. But, the pegs, you see in bottom photo are brilliant clean. I wonder what that was. Something for the rain.
Anyone have any ideas?
I’d imagine it be a tacify-ing spray. Makes the grips tackier in the wet. Same with footpegs

Being a solvent it would dissolve any oils or grime. I think they're simply cleaning the parts in the most convenient way. The can was likely taped off as the company didn't provide it or wasn't a sponsor. I doubt it's some skunk works go-faster compound.

I had some of those ideas as well. Not the Windex though haha - I'll have to try that. The weather did this 2 years ago, the "november get out of this may!" memes were hilarious.

They might have put tape on the can just to have tape cut and ready. Looked like similar tape to what I saw on the swing arm.

We flocked to the Italian National SBK Races by the dozens under the rain, and all 24 of us spectators hid in the VIP Penthouse at MUGELLO from the ceaseless rain.
5 stories up it sits between the Start/ Finish Straight and the finale sector of chicanes and straights before #14 Buccine where you can see almost the entire track.
At lunch pit lane is open, really open. Teams wheel out the goods to be oogled. I thought I'd drop a few photos of Michele Pirro's #51 SBK who won so far out in front it was like everyone else was riding bicycles. Seems his MotoGP experiences have transported his abilities with increasing benefit.

CIV is a joke, 13 bikes on grid for 2 years in the row. They want too much moneys from the teams to enter.

You should have stayed for National Trophy instead.

Funny on the black taped bottle question....out riding with some guys that run race teams, a bunch of black bottles here, they were sponsored by Maxima so anything else they wanted to use had to be taped up not to break any contracts. What is in there in your case is a mystery : )

Since you are all interested in this MAGIC SAP setting, here is the " old version " V4R as ridden by Pirro

Front FKR forks, not very high.
I still need to push it, to tell you how it rides, because the only time I did it, it was just lent to me for few laps.
