So a few weeks back I tarted noticing that the clutch wouldn't disengage fully at full-in, and shifting would be 'hard'. I adjusted (tightened) the lettle screw on the lever and thought no more of it.

Fast forward a few weeks and it happened again - I noticed a pattern, it was happening whenever I gained altitude a lot and quickly. Another screw adjustment.

Today, I rode the same roads for the third time, and same thing, and now my little screw is all the way tightened, and m depending on the pointy notch to declutch properly :\

Anyone had a similar problem?

This is a 2013 1199 S, with ~4000 miles on it.

Bleed it every couple thousand miles. Very easy process and will take care of the issue. I bleed both the master and slave. Takes about 30 minutes.

Had similar issues as I like the clutch lever as close to my hand as possible, that's the problem, try loosening the screw. I.e. increase the clutch lever distance slightly. That solved my clutch engage/ disengage problem.

Had the same issue and had the master bled at first service which fixed the problem. It reoccurred today at 1,700 miles.

Mine got to the point it had to be bled every time I rode the bike. Ducati replaced the clutch master under warranty and no problems since!

The bleed is simple, b.t.w. there is a bleeder screw on the master cylinder. Pull the lever in and hold it....open the bleeder.....close the bleeder....release the lever....done. A little fluid will escape when you open the screw, along with a little air. Be careful not to let any of the fluid get on any painted surfaces, as the fluid "eats" paint. You can hold a wadded rag or paper towel on the screw, over the wrench, to catch the fluid.

I have to bleed mine every couple weeks. Had my dealer replace the slave cylinder, as the last one was leaking. It I now less frequent. I just open the bleed blue up top at the master cylinder to let the air out. Takes an 11 mnemonic wrench and about 10 seconds. Then I'm good for another couple weeks!
