I recently became a proud owner of a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4—my very first Ducati motorcycle. I am reaching out to inquire about the compatibility of clutch and alternator covers from earlier Panigale V4 models with the 2025 model.
From what I understand, the engine has not undergone significant changes, but I noticed that some new plastic components have been added around these covers on the 2025 version. Since I am new to Ducati motorcycles and unsure about the specifics of the engine’s evolution, I would greatly appreciate it if you could confirm whether the covers from previous Panigale V4 models would fit my motorcycle.
Additionally, I am specifically interested in clutch and alternator covers from GB Racing. If these parts are compatible, could you please provide the exact part numbers or models that would work for the 2025 Panigale V4?
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi everyone,
I reached out to GB Racing to ask about the compatibility of their 2024 covers with the 2025 Panigale V4/V4S. Here’s the reply I received from them:

Hello Aleks

Thank you for your enquiry.

I have been testing the V4S 2018 -2024 GBRacing parts on the new 2025 V4S and can confirm our secondary engine covers do fit.

However there is a small plastic cover by the alternator which will need to be removed but you can not see this once the GBRacing cover is fitted as it sits behind the fairing, and on the clutch side again there is a small plastic covers which can either be removed or just trim a small section from around the lower left fixing point. This cover plus sponge cost no more than £20 if you ever wanted to replace it.

Please see picture below of the area to trim off.

Additionally, they kindly provided a photo for reference. I hope this information helps anyone who had the same question!

What's the use of this cover

What's the use of this cover
The primary benefit of clutch and alternator protection, particularly in a race track, lies in safeguarding critical engine components during potential crashes or falls:
  1. Critical Impact Protection: On the track, where falls are more likely, clutch and alternator covers provide a robust barrier, preventing direct damage to these vital components. This is crucial in avoiding catastrophic engine failure or extensive repairs.
  2. Prevention of Fluid Spills: A damaged alternator or clutch cover can result in oil leaks, creating a hazard for other riders on the track. Protective covers minimize this risk, enhancing overall track safety.
On my previous Kawasaki ZX10R, clutch and alternator covers literally saved the day. After a crash, they took all the damage—no harm to the engine. I simply replaced the covers and was back on the track in no time. Essential gear for any track rider!

I’ve shared the info purely for reference, hoping it might be helpful to those considering this upgrade.

I mean for the ducati cover that you have to trim. Not the gb cover s
In the installation manual for the genuine Ducati carbon cover, they actually recommend removing that odd plastic piece entirely and discarding it. It’s explicitly mentioned as unnecessary and to be replaced by the carbon cover. Ducati’s own instructions make it clear that the carbon part is designed to function without it.
