If you don't want boring buy the Ducati. All the trips to the service department when it inevitably breaks down every month will be extra fun.

Clearly this was a troll post calm down.
Just do your homework, buy a lightly used one (whatever it is) and save $10K

Coming back to Ducati

be advised Read the thread entitled Stalled and dropped

If you get a new Panigale just hope and pray that you don to get one of the bad ones like I and many others have.... There is evidently no REAL fix for it stalling...Or in my case running rough and bucking and kicking at lower speeds in any gear...

I would certainly advise you to RIDE THE ONE YOU ARE GOING TO PURCHASE before you actually sign on the dotted line.. If it is not running smooth or bucks and kicks or dies on you even once then don't believe the dealer when they tell you they can fix it...They cannot..

Oh and another thing.. After it is couple of months old it will be worth half of what you paid for it if you try to trade it back in..

Not sure of your budget, but it may worth a look at the 2015 (upwards) R.

Phenomenal machine. Sure it gets hot, but if you're used to 4's it may be better suited and I have had zero issues with the stalling problems the 1299 owners speak of.

You are right, a smaller bore makes it easier. I can only repeat again, a big bore makes emission requirements harder to reach, requiring a leaner burn. It will be cured by a new fuel management system like Rapidbike, PCV, Tuneboy, Woolich, or anything else that enables you to make the bike run just a little bit richer in low load/low rpm conditions...
