Yeah if it doesn't include pit passes I'm not sure I'd spend that now just for the food. Are alcoholic beverages included?

If it includes pit pass I would be in. I would have to go buy some Rossi swag before I leave though.

last year i didnt even do the pit walk as marc was at a vendor shop signing autographs at the same time. pit passes are also a waste but do as you wish. if you want the free alcohol yes it is there with the past but then you cant leave that area. none of the action happens at the main grandstand. might as well get the 3 turn package as its the same price and you get a main grandstand seat.
im telling you now as a few others from this site went last year. you dont need any of the special packages it just isnt worth it.

That's the "Platinum" package that goes for between $1299 to 2659 depending on if you get the hotel room too. If you can get $300 out of that then it would be a steal...

On the COTA web site all they appear to be selling is "packages".

I've gotten the multi turn pass the last two years which was a waste last year as you'll always watch the race from turn 15 over the grandstands or turn 1(destroyed by a tornado and not available in 2016). It's nice for Friday and Saturday to be able to move around and try different seating points. But we found they weren't really policing tickets until qualifying on Saturday afternoon. I'd sacrifice my turn 15 view for one year for the hospitality suite package and some of the special appearances. You can only see so much of the race live anyway.

Tentatively in for 2. The first year I did COTA we had turn 13(I think) seats and the view from high up was amazing. You could see 70% or more of the track, just not the big back straight, the last two turns or the start/finish but there is a big screen right in front of you.

Last year it was part of the Ducati stands, so I might go that route instead.

ok my rep at cota called me yesterday. whats the story with this. i tried to see tickets online and it just shows meet and great with dani pedrosa.

Kevin I would be in for (4). I went last year and took my boys and had a blast. we had all access plus the food and cocktails and pit walk. As long as its the same I'd take 4.

Ok mark we get it, you know all and everyone should listen to whatever you say.

how do you come to that conclusion. i said my rep called me to let me know tickets are on sale. my next question was whats going on with this. trying to see where the group stands. im not one against deals im asking whats the status on this group deal.

on a side not kevin i did this already. went through it. bought the 3 turn pass was going to get all the food and drinks included also bought the pitwalk and pit passes. spent a lot of money last year and unless you have been there before you dont know what you actually need and dont need. found out the meal plan is not worth the money. the pit walk is a joke. you dont need a seat and can do the whole think if you are willing to carry a chair for 99 bucks. you can do the entire 3 days very cheaply and have an amazing time without the so called packages. why so hostile kevin?

Wasn't trying to come across as hostile, seemed like every attempt I was making you were trying to .... on it, my bad. Yes I've been there, I was thinking as far as getting all the guys on this forum together and hang out, a $1000 experience is outrageous, I agree, for $300 I think it's a deal. I tried talking with Ducati NA about them backing this and they didn't seem interested. I've emailed the COTA ticket sales guy trying to get the ball rolling so I'll keep you updated on that.

Mark, again wasn't trying to be a dick, seemed like you were just against it. Yes you can get the Ducati ticket package and it's a great experience, hell even a general admission, I just thought this would be a great deal of we could make it work.

all good kevin i wasnt trying to down play anything you were doing believe me i know how it is to organize something. im trying to see where you are in all this as i am very interested. i was just saying that you dont need to spend a lot of money at this place to enjoy it. i found out the hard way as most do their first trip there. i applaud you trying to do this. dont forget moto america will be there too.
