So does anyone know if Austin COTA will do track days? I've heard the track is extremely expensive to rent and they're not really interested in hosting track days.

I was just there for MotoGP and my buddy who lives there said that only a couple of the larger auto clubs are getting any track time. Apparently there is a lot of drama surrounding it.

I believe the attendance was fairly low yesterday at GP race.

When/if they start hurting for money it will start getting rented out to track day orgs. I still believe even then your probably looking at 400-500 a day per rider.

That place is in popular demand so don't hold your breath.

They wrote about COTA track days on ducati.ms

Something in the above mentioned price range. Besides that, awesome track!

I've heard rumours that it was 42-50K per day, with two consecutive days being a bit less per day. . . Compared to 20-25K for LS which I think is the most expensive track to rent that I've heard of.

I did some reading up on it, and apparently they initially cancelled all scheduled track days, bikes and cars, they caught so much flak they rescinded that, but it sounds pretty iffy there.

I might try NOLA, but got to admit I just really am attached to barber and it's less than 3hrs away and runs about 220 per day, which in view of the quality of the track and the facility is not bad. Little Tally is fun, but not on the same level.

If you are that close to Barber you have got to try out Road Atlanta. Barber is fun but between the two Road Atlanta gets my vote. Something about that back straight and coming down the hill into 10...

I did RA in a car one time.

Guess I'm just not feeling the need for that very long and very fast straight on a bike. BUt I'll probably do it on a bike one day, friends
trying to get me to go.
