interested, Just dont wanna pay 550 pounds for it. Maybe we should do a group buy for race plastics! :D

I just received my Cruciata fairings from Austinracing. Spent most of today taking off the stock fairings. The side and front fairing was a learning experience.

The quality of the Cruciata fairings is excellent. They are reinforced at the appropriate places. I only wish they would have come with some form of instructions.

I don't look forward trying to put the stock fairings back on. Lots of screws, a couple of bolts, and a handful of rubber grommets.

Some tips:
Tail:
1) Unscrew the obvious screws, rubber grommet toward the front (All the rubber grommets can be removed by slipping the a flat head screwdriver under the head and twisting it up).
2) Take off the license plate holder
3) Unscrew the three very large screws (large allen wrench) under the seat cowl.
4) Pretty much everything comes off except for the sub frame
5) The large screws are then used to mount the top of the Cruciata cowl (this is specific to the Cruciata). After the Cruciata cowl is attached you can attach the two side tail fairings.
6) You will need to drill some pilot holes on where the two tail pieces come together on top and the bottom. Use screws to fasten.

Side Fairings
1) Take your time. There are tabs and slots everywhere on the side fairings. The are not strong. Fortunately, I didn't break any.
2) I don't know what is best, but I found it easier to unscrew all the side fairing screws first. This allowed the fairings to move a little bit, making it easier to remove the little apron fairings on top of the side fairings.
3) Remove the small apron fairings at the top. BE VERY CAREFUL. They are attached to the side fairings with slots and tabs. Both are very flimsy. It helps to move the fairings forward while moving the small apron backwards. If you hit resistance stop. Try shifting them the opposite directions. Do not force it. They will separate without any force. The front of the side fairings overlap with the front fairing. Unhinge them and the side fairing should come off.
4) The rear portion of the side fairings (the part towards the rear of the bike) are attached via tabs. You need to gently flex the fairing to slide the tab out. I think there are three or four of the tabs.

Front Fairing
1) Remove the obvious screws and rubber grommets, including the mirrors and detach the electrical wiring.
2) It took me over an hour to figure the following
2.1) There are two hex cap bolts you need to remove. One on each side of the front faring. They are next to the bolts used to adjust the direction of the headlights.
2.2) Remove the screw just underneath the front fairing (I believe it is the first screw from the nose), above the wheel.
2.2) At this point, the front fairing should be free except for the very front, at the bottom of the headlight. The front fairing is attached to the bottom of headlight with a rubber grommet which doesn't require you to use a screwdriver. Simply, but gently, pull the front fairing away from the headlight.

Headlight
1) The headlight should pull out from two grommets on the left and right. It will then be free and lean down.
2) There are two hex cap bolts attaching the lamp to the sub frame. remove them.
3) Detach the headlight unit and detach the two electrical wires.

Note - all the above is from memory. They are tips only, not exact directions. By knowing the above you can focus your attention on the parts that matter. I removed numerous screws and parts unnecessarily to find the correct ones. The above will help you to identify where to focus your attention.

I stopped at this point. It took me 5 hours to do this much. I wish I knew the tips above ahead of time. It would have saved a significant amount of time. Next I need to remove the bottom/oilpan farings and dry fit the front Cruciata fairings. Then off to the painters!

I hope this helps someone.

Super helpful, thanks for the effort. I do not look forward to doing this on mine.....

Important update for anyone looking to install the Cruciata kit.

The installation of the Oil Pan requires the Fan to be removed and the plastic trim on the front of the radiator to be cut at the bottom. I was instructed to not remove all the plastic.

The explanation provided is that the oil pan is the exact replica of Ducati performance.

While I really wanted the oil pan installed I decided against it in the end.
