Anyone from the VA, MD, DC area going to the show this weekend?
A few of us members will be heading in to see what they have. Last year it was pretty cool. Might get a set of those high end custom molded inner ear speakers to rock out with!

bro i went to the NY show last year, my buddy got those molded ear pieces for noise resistence, i think if you went with a wireless setup and double taped the ear pieces under your ear pads in your helmet you would be better off. I've used ear phones last year or so, wireless is way too go!!

yes I have the Sena system and love it. The earbuds do give you much better sound for music and calls, plus block out wind noise better.

thats cool, my other riding buddy, has the Scala Rider system and went there for mine. scala rider was pretty happy with results. They guy from the show i believe said 2 -3 week on those molded ear piece for stereo use.

I may be dropping by on Saturday afternoon, gotta head into DC that morning anyway. Will be the first time I've been in town for the show in a couple of years.

I'm flying into Dulles tomorrow afternoon and will be staying in Sterling. Is the show near where I'll be staying?

Been there done that

Me and my fellow member buddy just spent 4 hrs at the show. R on display really did nothing for me. No smokin deals on anything but eye candy was good.

Great to meet DucGurl in person finally too!

Tried the moulded-ear piece with speaker leads years ago when I was riding my Japanese bikes. The curly cord transferred the sound from the speaker unit. That didn't work very well above about 20 km/h. The winds noise was superimposed over the music and at freeway speed was worse than no ear plugs at all.

Then I decided to buy the Panigale and there's no need for an alternate source of entertainment or something else to listen to - the note of the Panigale is so sweet!

I really liked the updated Hypermotard and oogled the 1199R just like everyone else! I don't think I'd pay the premium for the R, but an 1199 is definitely on my list. (FYI-One of the reps mentioned only 200 or so R models being imported. Sounds a little low to me...)

The GP experience was great with Edwards, Hayden, Spies, Lorenzo, Marquez, Smith, and smattering of other rider's bikes. I was all over Hayes R1 though!

The new 600RR and 1000RR were pretty nice, as was the S1000RR HP4 and the Ninja 636. The only downer for me was the absence of the new 675R.

I'm considering a Bell Carbon Star to replace my Arai and got to try one on. I was pretty impressed with the weight and fit. If anyone is looking, they are going for $400...because the new model rolls out in March.

Call JD at Sportbiketrackgear.com because they are going for A LOT less than $400. Best helmet ive ever owned.

Does anyone know if there was a vendor there selling any fender eliminator kits for the 1199? I was planning on going up there tomorrow to see if I can find one.

Post your pics chaps ....... need to compare Euro to US :p

It was nice to meet you too! Yeah... the R display didn't really do anything for me either. I thought the show last year was better.

A few of my friends went and said last years was better because they had people doing tricks to distract all the no riders so you could actually check the bikes out:p

Same

Yeah they have the same stunt guys this year also, I didnt even go look.

Was there today...it was ok.

Nothing there I needed but was really checking out and liking the Multistrada. That will be my next bike for all around cruising. Some eye candy at the Ducati area and not talking about the R...best thing on the R was the mirror block offs.

I did ask the Arai guy when they were going to come out with a shield like the Bell transitions and they said they are working on it and it will coming out soon but wouldn't say how soon. He talked like it was top secret...
