Can anyone tell me where to plug this thing in ?

i've got the seat off but theres nothing there??????

Its not under the seat. It's under the rear cowl. Inside the rear seat cowl, pop the plastic cap off, remove the tool bag and its right there.

Probably not, but the Ducati battery charger uses the same diganostic connector as the DDA. Probably best to disconnect it when not in use, just in case you forget. It will run the battery down so low that it won't charge again.

my ducati battery charger connects to a dealer-installed pigtail behind the left fairing connected directly to the battery.

I don't have one, never bothered with battery tenders on any of my bikes and don't seem to have any problems with flat batteries. I was going by this post from Xbox http://ducati1199.com/mechanical-technical/867-ducati-plus-battery-maintainer.html

yep, that's it. left it on all year long up until a couple of weeks ago, bike started right up after a long winter storage. you are lucky you get to ride your bike so often that the battery doesn't need attention. :)

I had a lithium left unattended all winter. Booted right up in the spring no issues

You're talking apples to oranges. This post of yours is useless because if you plugged the dda into the back, even with your lithium batteries - they won't last but a week. . . Read the whole thread before posting - it makes a difference.
