Hey guys
So as my name suggests I am a complete noob when it comes to this advanced stuff (although I am an IT specialist so I am all about the tech!).
I am trying to figure out what the deal is with the DDA+ system! Apparently it is fitted as standard on the Panigale R - and I have a 2015 R. But I can't seem to find any info about it!? Unsurprisingly I've not been able to find anything in the owner's manual. After an hour looking through the manual last night I found myself losing the will to live!!
Has anyone had any experience using the data analyzer??

It just logs several parameters as you ride to a flash device that is connected to the diags port under the tail cover. If it has the GPS part it will log position on track, elevation, and lap time.

Then you can hook it to a Mac or PC and get the logs off of it to look at.

You should be able to enable it in your settings menu.

Forum member mpita is on the development team in Italy and very friendly and helpful.

The website for support is DDA Web Support: Home page but unfortunately, like most data collection and analysis software other than the motec stuff which is very expensive, there is very little proper support or tutorials.

I've been using the DDA on my 1199S for the last year and whilst it is useful I'm finding it very clunky and difficult to get any meaningful analysis out of it other than laptimes and basic bits and pieces. The GPS data does not work on my MAC unless I use a fusion VM with a windows OS on it, and then I have a lot of trouble with display resolution in the App. I lost my DDS unit last week and have just paid someone for a replacement so I am going to make a concerted effort to make more use of it. We're off to Nurburgring and Spa Francochamps next week.

Hey guys thanks very much for the responses! To be honest in my case (as I am not an advanced rider and not planning to take the Pani on any tracks at the moment) I think it might be a bit of a novelty for me but still - as I love gadgets I am def up for giving it a try!

So, if I look in the menu there should be an option to enable it right? And if I look under the tail cover the device should be there?

@royal: thanks for the info.
I run the Prosa software under Parallels on my mac. No problems, resolution works as it should.

@noobigale: you can enable it on your Dashboard as soon as the stick is connected. Unfortunately you have to re-enable it every time you switched-off the bike. Also be aware to remove the stick if you're not riding, otherwise it will drain your battery pretty fast (there's somewhere a copy of the Ducati TSB on this forum, but I could'nt find it).

Thanks Gecko!

I am starting to wonder if the DDA+ device is actually installed on my bike. It should definitely be standard on the Panigale R, right? Is the menu the DDA+ option is greyed out from what I remember.

Thanks for this - I have had an issue with the battery actually and had it replaced under warranty. But I do need to keep it on charge a lot!

You'll have the DDA in a seperate box Noobigale. Once connected the option to turn it on is enabled.

Ah thanks mate - yeah come to think of it I have a pile of extra bits and pieces and I am sure the DDA is with that!
