I called my dealer to get the pricing and availability on the new 1199 and was told:

Standard 1199 - $17,999

1199 S - $22,999 + $1000 for ABS
The S Version has the electronic Ohlins, forged alumnium Marchesini's.

1199 S Tri-Colore - $27,000
The S Tri-Colore has a Slip On Exhaust, ABS, Ducati Data Acquisition, and unique paint.

First round of bikes will be coming in March 2012 and another round to be released in the summer.

yes i know that the PR blurb says so and its listed on ducati's website, but if you read the fine print there is one of these " * " and country specific written at the bottom of the page. So when i see the pipes i'll be convinced, back in 2007 on the 1098 tricolores in australia, we did not get the full system like the U.S.A. only the slip ons.

news today is in australia $42000 for the Tricolore

Our currency exchange is almost 1 to1 right now, I cant believe you guys are getting ..... so badly. what is the deal?

$28K in the US and $42K in Australia - damn, you must have some high import taxes

And I think 28 is too damn high!
