Deals Gap Rally in the Fall.

Would anyone be interested in doing a rally at Deals Gap in the fall?

It wouldn't be anything formal or sponsored.

The Gap is a blast, but it's not the only area to ride.

In the past I've stayed at Fontana, Robbinsville, Snowbird, and few rental homes.

Ron and Nancy of tailofthedragon.com have a few nice rentals with huge garages.

I've set up a few dozen rally's in the past. Routes would be posted. Typically we would assign route leaders based on experience, and pace. Nobody ever gets left behind.

My only rule/suggestion is that squids need not respond. The Gap isn't a place where squids/stunters are welcome.

I'm going to be in the area next week but will be back up there for the labor day week, probably from Friday August 31st thru Saturday September 8th. We stay in Topton NC about 10 miles east of Robbinsville, we usually ride the Gap during the week, It's usually a circus during the weekend plus there's allot of other nice roads that you can also ride.
Let me know when you have a date nailed down...

Come to Ducs FLy South Sep 14-16 in Murphy NC, not far from Deals Gap, it's a mostly ducati rally usually about 75 riders, I've been going since 97.

My group will be there in late Sept. staying in Fontana. Homelandsportbikes. Unfortunately I won't be with them, ugh! I have to go do some military training. I'm so jealous of all of you going. The Gap is my second home. But I'll see you all in the spring...
