I bet there is are a few guys in a certain Yamaha garage that are laughing their ..... off. Perhaps He should eat crow and befriend Rossi. It always seems to help when you have someone who can relate to your situation. If Lorenzo does not win on this bike, it will certainly go a long way to suppress the weight of the "Ducati/Rossi curse" and maybe bolster the opinion that Stoner was the only guy who could ride the brand to a winning season. On a side note from a stat perspective, Rossi and Stoner competed against each other for 7 seasons. Rossi finished ahead of stoner 4 out of the 7 and two of those 7 were Rossi on the Ducati. Had he stayed with Yamaha, he would for sure have won more.

I keep thinking this proves the team is a huge part of winning.

and why is it that the fastest bikes seem to always being the ones with cornering problems?

Seems to me thats where the "THROTTLE ACTUATING DEVICE" comes in, AKA nut behind the wheel. driver/rider.

Vale has no chill...

Dear George,

Gigi call me last night. He is a little bit, how you say, concerned you are not OK.

I think he call me because I was once team-mate with you, and maybe I know how is the best way to stop you when you start to make the hissing and bite the mechanics.

I tell Gigi that when you become the Mamba, Lin always take the firehose and shoot water at you because you don’t like the water and you run away and stop biting.

Then we build the wall. Remember the wall? It work very well.

It was little bit hard to hear everything Gigi say. The music was very loud, but I also hear Davide crying and saying “Bayliss, Bayliss, Bayliss…” in background.

You remember how the post-race parties are when you win. Or maybe not, ha ha! Anyway, I dance all night with big Dutch girls in yellow bikinis.

Never mind. That was a great race, no? I know you did not see much of it. I know when I have the penalty and must start from the back of the grid is very difficult to push to the front, but I always try, yes?

So yes, to come from 21st position is very hard.

I am a little bit sorry if I scare you when I lap you. I was very surprised. It is the first time I see the back-markers for many years. You are bringing this back, yes? That is very exciting for the fans.

Maybe you did not see me? Gigi tell me you had your eyes closed for much of the race.

My friend, Danilo, who was behind me and we make great race together, say to me he see much water come from under your helmet.

“How is come this water?” I ask. Danilo say to me: “Was salty.”

I say to him: “Must be water from the North Sea.” And then we laugh together with the Dutch girls. Ha ha ha!

I think maybe is better for you next year. If Harley-Davidson buy Ducati, then will be good to see how you race the new Ducati Ultra Fat FXSRRR GP bike.

Or maybe I will buy Ducati. And then I will be your boss. Ha ha! That will be very funny, no?

I must now make preparation for Sachsenring. The championship is very close. I am now only seven points from the lead. But you must not worry about this.

You are two points behind Danilo in eighth position. This is make Danilo very happy. He say maybe Gigi will take some octopus from your bike and put it into his.

I say to him, “The octopus will already be salty!”

And then we laugh again. Ha ha ha!

Ciao,

Vale

Dear George,

We just want to drop you a line before the season starts.

Hang on...does that say "Flexy-Boy on your leathers? Who the .... approved that? Has Gigi seen that?

..... Anyway, look, we have spent a metric ....-ton of money on you this year. A. Metric. ..... Ton.

To make that money back we have to sell 786,545 Ducatis in the next three years. Now even if every soft-bearded, bobble-head bought like five of them Scramblers, and every rich sad-man bought seven Panigales, the accounts department reckons we're still gonna run a bit short.

So our investment in you, George, is large.

It needs to pay the .... off. And the only way it can pay off is if you start winning races and bring home a title.

It's been 10 years since we last won anything. And the bloke who won that...well, he comes and goes and we still pay him, but he tells us how far away he lives and how that's a problem, and then turns up and rides faster than either you or bloody Dovi in testing.

We think the only thing you two have in common is your hatred for that Rossi prick. We get that. We hate him too, especially after we paid HIM a metric ....-ton of money to tell us how ...... our race bikes were.

So anyway, testing is on again real soon. You need to hit the track running. Never mind the jet thing. We only made that so we have some kind of gimmick to sell bikes from down the track a bit.

Focus on being quick and not crashing. We need that fucken title and we need it this year.

George, look at us. We're not ....... around. Don't make us cut you. We will. We're Italians who are owned by Germans. You know what that means.

Love,

Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.

Rogue,

Is this mean George is off the hook after he won 3 races this yr so far ???

I have to agree with u NW1299 (finger crossed) if Honda will let him leave:D

Yeah in 2021 after his 9th championship is in the bag, He'll switch to Ducati and just go for wins. I figure, about 5 seasons at Ducati will put him close to the all time number of wins and he'll only be 30 years old.

....!
