Same thing happened to my brother a few years back. He ended up on the bonnet (hood) of the car with the bike 10ft down the road. The impact snapped the rear wheel in half and broke the swing arm off. Fortunately he only suffered some minor bruising to the back of his legs.
Problem is also that it will be always registered that’s it’s been wrecked and repaired.
Which means a massive hit on resale
If insurance could repair it cheap and save $$$ then they would rather then paying you out. A wrecked written off bike is only good for the track or parts.
