Delivery of my Panigale 1199 R

Today I received my R. It is a stunning bike to see and drive. I noticed how freely it revs and more power in mid rpms. Although I didn't went past 7K. I drove 90km. I am very proud to have one of five here in my country.

Looks really nice.

I'm assuming the carbon exhaust shield is the same as the one that will come out for Termi full system folks.

I asked my dealer about them yesterday and they said they don't come in until next month or so. I don't plan to install it but I still want it.
 
What does that say above the PANIGALE R lettering? I am trying to find that decal on eBay, so I can make my Base an R :D

Seriously, beautiful shots, and what does that say?

It's the name of the dealer where he bought the bike.

It says Ducatizaltbommel.

;)
 
Grats!!!

Is that a CF Heatshield? That taller windscreen is starting to grow on me. Need to find out how much more wind deflecty it is.

Ha - no wonder I couldn't make it out! Is that common overseas? When a dealer did that here on a car, I told them to take it the f__k off, as it's my car, not theirs. Back in the 50s/60s they would rivet their name plate on!

Get the superstock trim, thats close enough to an R.
 
The bike is great and when you are 6ft + you need the taller windscreen.

I had the head covers removed. Ugly things. The carbon heatshield is growing on me. They installed a reflective lining on the inside of it.

The dealer is indeed Ducati Zaltbommel, named after the beautiful little town. I think I will take of the little letters.
