Anyone have any feedback on their operation? Ordered something mid December that I fully did not expect to ship quickly, but it's been 3+ weeks with no update...which again, holiday season and whatnot I'm not shocked at, but what does concern me is the emails requesting a best guess on a ship timeframe have gone unanswered.

Reputable?
Not?

TIA

Germany has some of the tightest restrictions worldwide. Only essential businesses have been open since mid December... needless to say, motorcycles aren't essential. You can read about it here, and note that they extended and tightened up more as of yesterday. Covid-19: Germany introduces new restrictions amid rise in cases

That said. I had no problems ordering parts from them pre-covid, shipping was long, but everything arrived(2-3 weeks).

Totally get that and I’m sure that’s all it is....just don’t see why lockdown would prevent the return of an email to let me know they’re locked down and that it will be a while. Then again, who knows what he’s dealing with amidst all this.

regardless, I’ll just be patient and I’m sure it’ll all show up at some point.

I am awaiting a package from Germany (Christmas gifts) that was sent December 1st. It has been stuck at customs in NYC for weeks now, without status update or anticipated delivery date.

I have the same HORRIBLE experience. I ordered something 12/1/2020 and have absolute no update whatsoever.
  • [12/1/2020] Ordered a dry clutch cover for my V4 R.
  • [12/16/2020] Emailed then on since no movement for 2 weeks, got an email back same day saying the order is not even processed and they are very busy.
  • [1/1/2021] Emailed again asking for an ETA since still no update 1 month after placing the order and 2 weeks of previous communication.
  • [1/7/2021] Got an email back saying they will check for me and let me know ASAP.
  • [1/11/2021] Emailed again since still no update. This part is now blocking my build plan for the bike since ALL my other parts arrived.
  • [1/12/2021] Complained on their Facebook page (under someone else's complaint) and got immediate response on FB. Also got immediate email reply saying the parcel should leave on Thursday/Friday and I should get email communication.
  • [1/19/2021] It's already Tuesday of the week after. Still crickets. Order page on the website still shows order being processed. Complained on their Facebook again. No response this time.
It's certain that they run their business in extremely sloppy fashion. Yes we know COVID makes things hard but no communication for weeks on end is just BS. Everybody is late now but everyone else communicated proactively and timely. I am not even sure if I want to put the part on my bike any more even if it arrives today. This kind of business practice goes against everything I believe in.

Not only is business sloppy but COVID has put a huge strain on international shipments. My friend had to order a subframe from Yamaha and there were only 5 in the world, all in Japan on a shelf, and since shipments have been prioritized due to COVID, motorcycle parts aren’t exactly on the priority list. Took him 3 and a half months to get a part that was on a shelf already.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on anything coming from outside of the country right now.

But they did not even ship the product! It's definitely their problem. I also bought a Point 65 backpack and it's been stuck in custom for 6 weeks. I am not blaming them a bit because they have been communicative and working with FedEx. I bought bunch of CNC Racing stuff and some of them came from Italy, in 2.5 weeks. So not all international shipments are affected.

I am having a fun time with some companies way closer to home. Has nothing to do with shipping more about quality of their parts and their business practices. And some insane suggestions. Feel yer pain gonna start my own little thread about the experience soon

Won’t respond to a email for a week but all over a Facebook comment? That had to piss ya off a lil...

Last week I tried ordering a part from Germany (Bursig) and they said their lead time was a minimum of 6-8 weeks.

Once you get past the part of the vendor getting the part out the door to a courier, you then have to deal with that which is once again hit or miss.

A few weeks ago I ordered 2 parts, 1 from Italy and 1 from FL (both was in the hands of a courier the same time). Oddly enough the item from Italy arrived to my house one day earlier than the item from just over 1k miles away lol

I've been waiting for Bursig stand as well! Loved it for my S1000RR. I was hoping Bursig USA have some ready to ship domestically. But since they said 6-8 weeks I am only going to start emailing / calling them starting week 9...

I actually found the stand locally and was only in need of the pin itself which I found on Amazon sold by SV Racing. They have their own stand that is a copy of the bursig but for some reason it's not on their site anymore.

Sorry to hear and sorry for the delay. Not an excuse but maybe it helps to understand, we are just a small team producing 100% of our desmoworld parts in-house here in germany.

Please PM me your order number so i can check!

Thanks for owning up to it. I emailed you back 2 hours ago. If you have the cover ready to ship as per suggested in the last email, then by all means ship it to me at your earliest convenience as it's already 1 week after the promosed ship date. I'll be honest with you, to me it is the best looking one I have found. But wouldn't matter if I can't get my hands on it, right?

as its already 9:18pm here in europe i´m not on the office PC, please be so kind and PM me the order number so i can follow that up tomorrow morning!

And lets say it so... the cover design&quality definetly compensates for the waiting time :) ( we work on the speed anyway )

thanks
Chris
