I just got my slightly used red Diavel a month ago and have already put 1100 miles on it. I knew from test rides that I had to get a new seat! I also put the Strada screen and a Wunderlich deflector on it. The stock (even the gel tour) seat positively sucks. The Strada is too low and too far forward. I love the Corbin seat on my BMW k-bike, but am pissed off at them (another story), plus being the compulsive sort, I wanted to have the new seat done up quickly. So I found a local guy to me who said he did the very first redo of a Diavel seat in the U.S. After one extensive reworking, we got a satisfactory seat completed. If I could figure out how to post a pic, I would (ok, I figured it out!) Bottom line, this revision is for folks who are long-legged and have a good reach. This is a sitting "on" the bike seat, by no means a sitting "in" the bike seat. It is 3" taller and you are 1.5-2" farther back over stock. I am contemplating whether or not to swap out the bars, which seems like a hassle. But, the leg position is quite comfortable, I don't feel like I am sitting with my knees up to my chin! The other two compromises were having to cut out part of the seat pan base and that an inch or more of the passenger seat was removed, neither of which matters to me. I am sure Corbin's would be a nice seat, however - though it apparently adds weight. Mine is no heavier than stock and is quite serviceable. The guy is Jon Revilla, theseatguy.com
