Thinking of going for a new 17 1299s. Wondering what type of deals people have got recently?

Thanks
Ben

Deals on Ducati?!?! Lol you can make any deal you want as long as it full sticker price.

Can't say I've ever heard of Ducati having deals. But I'm only in Illinois so there's not a high demand here. As far as I know I have the only 1299 in the entire state.

^^^^^^^ I would disagree. Start calling several dealers, and tell them you are looking for the best price. Take your time and compare deals offered by the different dealers. I remember seeing the 2016's being offered at good prices at year end last year. They had factory rebates and financing incentives as well.......

I'd try Aaron at Newport, they are the largest volume dealer.

Yeah, pretty much what he said. About the only time you can really get much of a price break is leftover prior-year stock (i.e., not 2017) and even then most of the time you'll still only get a break on add-ons and financing deals - most dealerships still won't really move much on bike price. And not to derail the discussion into another pro/con argument like an oil or tire thread, but there's the demo bike route too. Just putting the option out there. But again, probably not going to be a 2017.

Personally, I'd wait until the V4 is revealed. Could be that anyone with cash is just going to lock up their funds and hold out until they can get one of those, leaving more than a few 1299's sitting around. Then again, if the V4 isn't all it's been hyped up to be, people may swarm to snap up Ducati's last big twin superbike...

Leftover stock and winter time is when to get a good price on ducati's

LOL at the above. My friend got $3,400 off msrp on his brand new 2012 1199 back years ago just 5 months after the original release. Only a sucker pays MSRP or anywhere close to it. Dealer margins on these bikes are massive. I wouldnt consider another new 1199 unless it was $3,000+ off msrp. Clearly a sucker is to be found above

I tried to get a new pair of gloves worth $130 The dealer wasn't happy with that I said I will go somewhere else he finally gave in........ tight ..... they are. You pay $30000 for a bike and they don't even give you a discount wtf

That's is not true at all. You probably leave under a rock or something but I know a few different people with 1299 including myself.

Do you really know what the dealer margin is? What's "massive"? No such thing among ANY motorcycle dealer. You need to "walk" in their shoes a little bit. There are myriad reasons why a dealer may choose to give away a bike with little to no profit.
