Looked for others in this forum who may or may not have had this issue but I was unable to find a thread about this. Started up the bike today after it sitting for about a week and everything was good on startup but shortly after my display went completely white. No temps/press/mph anything. I'm sure i'll get a new display from the dealership but has anyone had this issue?

It's the first time I heard something like that.

Did you check de plug if it was properly seated?

Did you washed the bike before stoping the bike for a week? If you do, you may have moisture in the plug that conects to the dash.

Sounds like more a connector issue than a display.

Mine did the same thing last summer during a rainstorm. Blank, then went to flashing weird error messages, then back to blank to sensor error messages to blank to........
No cause ever found. Finally just chalked up to some moisture having gotten in some place where it shouldn't. Happened only the one time. And hasn't happened again - even when riding in rain.
As a friend said "eh, it's a Ducati" (while rolling his eyes and giving a shrug). Anyone who's owned enough of 'em over the years would understand exactly the sentiment being expressed.

Thanks Mig but No, I didn't spray the bike with water or wash it after my last ride. I only use Honda cleaner to clean the bike when I do.

I did report to the dealership that my display would fog up from time to time during a ride ever since I bought the thing. I even took pictures of the fogged display with my phone but the dealership said they had to see it in person to file a claim. They wouldn't do anything about it then since by the time I would ride it to them the fogged display would go away.

Charlim90, did your display go blank momentarily or did your display turn white momentarily during the rainstorm?

I take "blank" and "white" to mean the same condition - it was daytime so when "blank" it was devoid of data (i.e. was all white). It would alternate to being completely white (blank) to showing various sensor errors to showing just "-- -- --" where the mph would/should be.
If by "blank" you mean totally off - as though you had cut all power/key off - then no, it did not go blank in that sense.

Electrical short in the display, Ducati is replacing the display now. I had the fogging display issue since I bought the bike. Hopefully the new one will fix this problem.

I don't think Ducati will ever solve fogging issues.
It's a known problem at least from 1098.
I had it on the 1098, 1198 and now on the 1199.

The 1098/1198 problem was solved by driling 2 small holes on the back of the dash (recomended by Ducati Factory).
