Do you feel the ABS pulsing on the rear?

Thought I would test the abs out pressing down hard on the rear brake. I didn't experience any pulsing feeling through the pedal, is this normal? Tried it both in abs 2 and 3 setting, felt more like the rear was skidding (slightly damp road).

Most times when the ABS engages on a motorcycle, the wheel will take a small hop. ABS on motorcycles has come a long way, but you'll stop shorter if it doesn't engage because of that hop.

To answer your question, I have never felt the lever or the pedal pulse.

I've felt my rear pedal pulse. Just find a nice straight run that is slightly downhill and mash down on the rear brake.

I can feel it pulsing. I have a long paved driveway and it usually shows a 2-3ft skid then releases and pulses, it doesn't intervene as smooth as I'd like. ABS setting 3.

On the front with setting 2 and 3 I can get noticeable intervention under really hard braking. I've never been able to brake hard enough on setting 1 to get intervention. It's amazing how much brake power these things have.

I felt the same way.

I try simulating hard braking a lot on both front and rear brakes to get some ABS action and all I get is the good Brembo brake bite.

Then I avoid a pothole and come to stop sign. I brake hard and brakes pulse like crazy. I guess sometimes you do not know or realize how hard you can brake until you are close to crashing.

mine does, with a distinct clicking sound. There's actually good bite and some power in the Panigale's rear brake - something that Ducatis are not known for.

How do I delete this thread? It was a combination of new boots and stupidity such that I couldn't feel what was going on with the rear pedal. Tried it today with trainers and could feel the pedal pushing back to stop the rear locking.
