Does the V4 have an ODB2 interface?

“Would you expect that the ODB link MX+ would be able to access the same data that the DDA+ has access to, notably lean angle and DTC?

The list is long. I couldn’t find both at a glance.

FYI Leanangle, ABS, DSC, DWC, DPL, DQS, EBC, DES and DTC are DMH specific PIDs on DMH configured CANbus.

FYI2 OBD2 mostly does the many generic automotive PIDs related to emissions.

Just download the OBDlink app for free from appstore and check available PIDs out for yourselve under /Settings/Preferences/Logging/SelectPIDs/

Availability of PID here doesn’t mean OBDlink is actually allowed to read that PID data from ECU. As I said trail&error. Good luck.

Thank you again, RdashP, for your patience and kind replies!
Yes, I did read both threads, but I guess that I have a slight problem because of 1) I do not fully understand all acronyms used and 2) I probably do not have sufficient technical background knowledge to put all pieces together.
I will experiment a bit and read these threads a few more times :)
Have a great season!

I had asked the OBD-link manufacturer about this and here is what they answered:
"Hi Christof, While OBDLink MX+ works with many motorbikes, ... the OBDLink app likely will not connect to your Ducati Panigale V4.

As you saw in my pictures not true for V4, OBDlinkMX-Wifi connects fine to our model and displays selected PID data in realtime.

From my experience, OBD2 readers aren't always compatible, especially the older DMH models with exotic-/custom ECU's.
For example, same OBDlink dongle sadly doesn't connect to my wife's 2013 Monster 1100evo with a ContiTech ECU.
Haven't yet figured out which iOS based wireless OBD solution does communicate with hers.

Again, trial & error. haha

I managed to read a few error messages from the ECU, but couldn't clear them.
Last week riding the Alps the yellow engine light popped up yesterday right after high pressure washing the V4S. The bike continued to operate and behave normally nevertheless.

Being prepared, I brought the conversion cable and OBDlink dongle with me. Upon arrival at the hotel the read-out was a ‘P0152’ error. After clearing the code through the iOS app the engine light went out and stayed out today while riding back home.

So I can positively confirm that OBDlink is able to both read Ducati V4’18 trouble codes ánd is able to clear them as well. #goodstuff

Just kidding. A cyborg to download engine codes could probably be programmed to stop my white trash neighbor from having his dog to roam the subdivision and .... in other people's yards.

But, the Termi T800 will check and clear engine codes.

There's just a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter needed(euro4 to euro5) everything else works the same. Its like 26 bucks from a ducati dealer

This is true [emoji115]

You can get the T800 with the proper 6 pin now. If you leave it under your seat, having an adapter cable in there too is a lot to cram in there.

Guys does the T-800 actually do anything now ? I've seen it attempt to show functionality like "recording" and so on for a few years but, does any of that work ? Thanks

No recording… just a dash. Shows speed and rpm(laggy), battery voltage, lean angle, throttle position, gear and water temp.

The aim solo 2 DL logs and records almost everything from the ECU. Does the trick for me, doesn’t do anything for service light or any of that. Great data logger and lap timer.

Bucket list material. I’m thinking about getting either that or the EVO4S w/GS dash if I can afford it. Problem is there’s nowhere to put the EVO4S.

The only thing I've used it for was flashing, checking and clearing codes.

Yeah sure and your Terminator is a tad too expensive for just reading and clearing OBD2 codes? ;P
IMHO OBDlink is much more suitable/ cost effective if you're not interested in re-mapping the ECU.

The slightly better than stock tune is worth the added cost IMO.

Yeah I know.
After 2 years trying I finally can convert and overlay my DDA+ data from the V4 as telemetry on top of my track movies to learn from.

It's about time Bologna steps up the plate and provide an even better UX than AIM with their DDA+ hardware and Ducati Analyzer Software for V4.
IMO a bloody shame for us existing DDA+ buyers and a ....... commercial loss for DMH themselves when people need to turn to AIM to freely njoy OBD2 telemetry from any Panigale and other more recent V4 models (incl. SF and MTS).
