don t buy the DP rear stand

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

you bought your rotella in walmart. I believe you are referring to oil. I know you can get rotella in walmart or anywhere else. As you know rotella isnt the recommended oil for the 1199. blasphemy you are using something not recommended by Ducati. As you know Ducati recommends shell advanced 4t 15w50. Can you find that in walmart? um no. my ducati stealership uses motorex 10w50. My other ducati stealership uses 10w40. I have used castrol in every high performance machine i have ever owned never had a problem.

For me castrol power RS racing 4t 10w40

Blasphemy? - I never was a very good rule follower, example: speed limits? Merely guidlines (Pirates of the Caribbean). I use Mobile 1 15w-50 in my Turbo 911, and Briggs & Straton SAE 30 in my John Deere. I weigh value/perfomance in my purchases in general. If there is an appearance factor, that weighs in too if it dosen't lower performance (DPs in general).

I don't think ANYONE could contribute ANY specific problem to ANY of the oils discussed on this forum, all are a matter of preference, and what study they last read.

I think it looks great with the bike :p

He said he can't get pitbull in oz.

QUOTE=mark419ny;37172]I know a lot of people on here think if it's not a Ducati product you can't use it on a Ducati. I can say this for sure if you drink the koolaid you get what u deserve. Hands down pitbull is the best and it's half the price made in the good old us of a. Screws to short, no oil viewer on lower fairing, oil recommendation you can't get in the states, windscreen that gets scratched if you fold in the mirrors, and a full exhaust system that gives you less performance over the slip ons. My point is you should look for aftermarket parts other then Ducati.

right, I don't care if it's a DP or not, I just care it does the job...unfortunately pitbull does not ship to OZ

there are 2 long for the wheels, 2 mid for the strut and 1 short. The two mid are too short b/c the outer bracket is too wide, hence the nut does not bite.

very poor quality welding or bending of metal sheets.

unfortunately I couldn't find the pitbull in australia

I imported the pitbull
It's great

Where?

I don't even get that. I think the DP stand looks like ...., works like it too. That's how I know it's a DP product lol.

Ya put it in the hole, push down, it lifts the bike. How is that working like ....? The Pit-.... just needs a coat of paint, and it would be fine. (IMO)

It's poorly built, requires assembly, and you can't remove the sprocket with it. There's a reason Pitbull stands are used by professionals and amateur alike. The galvanized Pitbull stands will last longer than paint.

Don't worry I own one, I regret not getting the double lift Pitbull.

I don't see too many ways to put it together ...screws are just the wrong ones...or ducati sends .... to australia

I meant if you don't line the holes up properly the screws will seem as though they're too short. Anyway I've no problem with mine, couldn't really care how it looks as long as it serves its function.

Also have the front stand now too, still waiting on my warmers though. Will be an interesting fit putting on the front warmer as there's not a lot of room between the guard and the wheel. Maybe I should start a new thread on this but who is using warmers and have you any issues fitting the front warmer?

No, you just need to wrap it tightly.

no screws are short...I ended up buying a couple of cheap bolts at bunnings...and now it is fixed.

I have Pierobon from Boulder Motorsports. After seeing this you will not want to buy any other. Only rear stand worthy of Panigale IMHO.
