Hi Guys,
If anyone who remembers fitting their DP rearsets and can help me out i would be forever grateful as im just about ready to put a hammer to them!
I want to run standard shift pattern.
The instructions say to use the double ended adjustable tie rod for standard shift.
One end goes behind the actual foot lever, into a very well concealed hole.
and the other end attaches to the right of the bolt that goes onto the shift rod. (as you are looking at the them in front of you) .
The instructions are very difficult here to see clearly but This is the only place that this dual ended tie rod can be placed.
However, now when testing the up shift, the tie rod catches on the backside of the black foot lever and cant shift up.
So maybe i should swap ends? The instructions dont mention which end of the tie rod goes on where. They dont appear that different in size!
Anyone who has standards shift on a 1299 and can take a picture please?
Also, How the hell do you guys fine tune the height of the foot lever in relation to the peg, if you want to?
You have to take the whole bloody mechanism apart???
Im not talking about the length of the foot lever. I mean the height. It appears a misery to do this. Everything is so hard to get at. Anyone do this?
I had a Pramac set of CNC rear sets and they seemed alot easier to adjust.
I picked the DP ones becuase I found them at a great price and i think thye look great, but im starting to regret the purchase, unless I am sooooo dumb that Im missing something. I followed the instructions to the letter.
Im almost ready to do a Vinnie Jones in Lock Stock and start smashing the door of my Jaguar on something!
Please guys, if anyone can help me........ Send a pic...anything...
