DP Rearsets - Advice Needed

Guys,

I'm hesitating a little over keeping these in my current Yuletide order

Please can I have some clear feedback on exactly how they affect the riding position.

Example:
- torso distance from tank
- knee position
- leg comfort
- rider weight distribution
- additional pressure on wrists

Thank you :)

Santa is bringing me a set of Ducabike rearsets. 8 way adjustable pegs and works with switch and quickshift in standard or reverse configuration. different colors. (excuse me-COLORES). and there pretty. I have the levers and there awesome!

Well, with the holiday and work I haven't had time to fit mine up yet. I plan on spending time in the garage this weekend.

Too bad you couldn't try all the parts out before buying them...

I wish I had more info for you Xbox.

If you're dead set on them, sure. But there are better (as in settings, options, colors, shift pattern) rearsets out there...

Thing is the DP are my 100% favourite.

Not a fan of the all black designs and really like the DP pegs.

Just as an FYI, Gilles has an all silver option and work with the DP heel guards. But by all means, go with the set you prefer. At the end of the day, just need to have grip to rip.

The Austin Racing rearsets are a thing of beauty (Ti color). They would go well with the Tri IMHO and they are very adjustable from the looks..foot pegs hi/low and fwd/back.

I went with the Rizoma rearsets, they are fully adjustable but the foot pegs adjust to hi/low only. Even at the low setting they are a little bit higher than the stock but with the race seat i have it fits perfect for my height im 6ft tall. They are very comfortable for daily riding and can adjust easily for the high position for track days.

I tried the DP rearsets they are beautiful but a pain to adjust. I feel they are really meant for the track. Meaning they are really high even at the low setting. Others may feel different They definitely lifted my legs to grip the tank better. My inseam is 32 inches I think fairly common/average.

The Ducabike rearsets that you ordered, are they the ones with the new linkage. gunny Fitz had problems with the originals. Said they were stiff as hell to shift. I'm just waiting form the new ones then putting an order in for the rearsets, levers, fuel caps & otehr parts.

Well, having seen the Rizoma B-Pro pegs and liked them more in the flesh, I've ordered these as an interim step.

Thanks for your input and comments chaps :)

The redesign is shipping now.

I got a chance to see the DP rearsets in person over the weekend and I have to say they look pretty damn amazing. I might be picking up a set over the winter.

I have the DPs myself - as usual for DP, they were a little fiddly to install but they are the biz -

I didn't write down the exact measurements, but recall that of the two options, the lower setting is ~ 2.5 CM higher than stock and the higher setting is ~3.5 CM higher than stock. They may be slightly forward of the stock as well..

If you want some measurements Xbox, let me know the points you want and I'll take them for you.

Well, I still haven't had a chance to fit my DP sets yet but am a little on the fence about the adjustability and position choices of the DP's. I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam. Are they going to fit right or should I go with the other sets I like which are the Austin Racing sets? Help...
