Hi,

I am planning to replace my OEM rearset in the future and I am wondering wich one should I go for? Had recently few 'false neutral' when changing gears and some other minor issues and decided that accessory rear set might help me to sort some issues out.
Does anyone has experience with DP and Lightech rearsets and can share his knowledge and experience about them?
Thanks

I'm looking at picking up the CNC LE Pramac Racing rearsets. A bit more pricey, I believe, but great quality from what I've read.

I have the Lightech and overall have no issues with them, although the DP do look very nice. However, Attack Performance is saying that they should have some ready for the Panigale by the end of the summer. I have these on my Daytona, and they are hands down the best I've ever ridden. Even though I'm perfectly happy with the Lightech, the APs are so good that I will be switching when they come out.

I also will be switching from my woodcraft to AP rearsets when they are released. I had a set on my zx6r and i've never had a better set of rearsets on anything.

i have attack on my hp4 crazy how grippy they are. highly recommended. i have duca bike on my 1199 i wouldnt they are ok only real ones out at the time.

Thanks guys for sharing your knowledge.
Now it is even more difficult because we do have now one more competitor-CNC and future PA.
Anyone trying all of them?

Endodoc has probably tried them all, you can always ask for his opinion

I, too, will also switch from my current woodcrafts to AP once they're out

I have lightech, it's quality built, adjustment options are good, replacement parts are expensive.

I am short, wish the pegs can go even higher.

I have DP on my Panigale and AP on my Daytona.

If AP is producing rearsets for the Panigale and they're anything like the Daytona version wait and buy those over DP and Lightech.

Less expensive. WAY more adjustable than DP. Way easier to adjust as well. They also seem to have a part number for pretty much every piece so if you crash and damage them you can buy the one piece or pieces you need.

# 1 Attack. Have had them on all my Hondas and they are down the street if I need parts. Supposed to be working on a set for the 99s. Until then, if you want to spend the $$ and you are fairly confident you're not going to hit the ground, I use the LightTech. So far, excellent. I did mod the shift toe peg. The DP rearsets are nice from a mfg perspective. For me, I did not like the plain bearings, nor did i care for the complex fulcrum/rod end set up on the shift side. The LTs is use a far simpler design permitting a direct link to the shift rod. The LTs have much less play than the DP. Also when the DP plain bearing starts to wear, there is no compensatory method for fixing it and they are sloppy to begin with. If $$ is an object and or you plan on spending some time on the asphalt, Woodcraft are hard to beat.

Also the fact that DP does use precision bearings on the Corse rearsets and not on the "public version" for $1200.00 flat out pisses me off. Cheap fuckers.

You should also be asking about the lever throw with the various aftermarket rearsets. The false neutrals I had were due to my ineptitude with the large lever throw (circa 35mm) on the OEM equipment. I chose CNC Racing sets because they offered two lever throws; one for OEM equivalent and the other gave a reduction to 20mm. I get no false neutrals when the lever throw is reduced to 20mm, and the quick shift seems to work better too.

Ask the dealer to reprogram the gear position sensor. Fix false neutral problem

Good to know, thus I am quite short guy as well. Worth taking this into consideration. Thanks

Thanks guys again. Alot of usefull information here.
I rejected DP now and still have to choose between LT,PA and CNC.
Lightech is used by local Ducati racing team and they highly recommend it. Performance attack is not available for Panigale yet (migh take a while before will be in Poland) and can not find many information about CNC.
Will wait or will buy LT. Thanks

As Mark stated above, the Ducabike ones look great, and are easily adjustable for those looking for a GP Shift option. However, I have had several issues with mine - even being stranded on side of road after a nut shook loose enough to fall off the connecting bar!

Though Ive never personally used either DP or LT, I'd certainly search that avenue.

CNC rearsets are beautifully made and look great. I elected not to get them because of the complexity in the shift linkage as it is very similar to the DP. For me, I just didn't like all the extra pieces. The LT shift lever bolts right to the shift rod. Its just a very simple design.
