I for one am excited to spend 3x the normal track day fee, to get a chance at hopefully enjoying a factory authentic Ducati latte.

Signed up for EVO 2, getting my bike shipped down, watch the races Sat/Sun then ready to ride Monday latte in hand.

Was discussing that with Karl (was looking into it for EU) and my dealer....I think the marketing budget for Ducati NA is a little different than Italy!

This is a bring your own ride, and if you want to pay more than I over paid you can get 1-on-1 coaching as well!

Anyone have any good leads for motorcycle shipping in Cali (Bay Area specifically)? I’m getting quotes for $1k each way which is too rich for my blood. Won’t be able to drive the 30 hrs since going to Japan on that Wed.

For comparison @SuperDomestique our trailer service holds 9 bikes and the hauler is asking $1k round trip. Surprised your local dealer isn't arranging any activities to get their clients there.

If it wasn't CoTA I would stay home, but need to ride that track, a bucket list item, so willing to do it once.

it is the best track ever buddy, your going to love it...so fast, so smooth, and so much run off if needed! on back straight, dip over to the middle or LEFT side....trust meh!

Hitting the Xbox hard in MotoGP '22 but sadly no bumps in their programming! I appreciate the tip for sure. The front straight at my local track has a series of ruts/grooves from where people launch it out of the hot pits. Pretty exciting to go over them the first time @130MPH when you don't expect it!

Keep the tips coming : )

And you other latte drinkers better sign up soon, I know of 6 people so far in our group in EVO 2!

on turns 3,4 and 5, i usually enter around 95mph in 3rd....late apex on 3, early on 4, then late again on 5!

turn 19 is basically a high speed sweeper...people freak out on that turn and brake into it...dont do that...just back off throttle a little bit, you an easily take that turn at 100mph...

turn 10 is a left hander, downhill, and blind from the entry point! there is soooo much runoff on the outside though (pavement not gravel) so you can really really fly through there as well...again, dont brake, just roll off a little bit, and carry massive speed there and float to the RIGHT side on exit, basically full gas! Do not attempt inside pass or outside pass here...too many riders will either brake and cut it tight, or fly wide right into you.....so just follow people through it if you are behind someone.

LATE brake into turn 11, that's a tough corner, best speed i can carry there is about 40-45mph...it is what it is...

I treat turn 16, 17 and 18 as one big turn. A lot of guys will make mid corner adjustments for 17 into 18...BUT i'm faster just making one big turn and not adjusting at 17 apex. it will take practice here, the turn is so long and you cant see the exit until your fully around 17. my god this is my favorite section though...personal best here is 53 degrees lean angle and 105mph, but i just know that better body position will give me a lot more speed there....need more practice.

drive straight out of turn 14 and hug the inside of track straight into 15! going wide into 15, by coming out of 14 early is slower!

long straight will take some practice to get your breaking markers...keep looking right at the white box signs....there are 4 of them... i start braking between the 4th and 3rd white box....but .... man...some guys are braking at the 3rd box! its wild coming down from 180mph to 40mph!! first time i ever lifted rear wheel on braking holy moly fun times!

ok thats all the notes i can think off...i'm still getting so much faster each time i go, its unreal.. first weekend there was 3:00-3:10....second weekend was 2:50s! third weekend 2:40s, last time there 2:38 was my best time!

good luck my man, ill be out there again this November!

How is he in real life? On YouTube he’s a bit out there

Agreed - I wasn’t previously a fan. In person, though, he was humble, helpful, and friendly. He seemed to enjoy teaching and didn’t seem to inject his ego into any interaction I saw.

Seemed like a legit good dude. 👍

I had to bail....tree almost totaled my house during a wicked storm the night before! The rest was dangling over my bedroom so had to chill and take care of things.

Probably for the best, I think I would had a coronary event in that heat, I think it was @106f!!
