so this was working even after i switched to the jetprime street version cotrol set it was definitely working . i checked today and the DRL menu is completely missing, has anyone dealt with or seen this before.

Check the plug for the left controls. I zip tied mine with the JP switches to make sure it couldn't back out at all.

There's not really a mechanical latch for the male OEM plug to the JP female connector. Hence why I used a zip tie. It doesn't take much of a back out for things to get weird.

after checking noth connections to the left and right switches, i found that i also ziptied them in a way that they could not back out ,
i know that button is working, because its the one that selects the abs dtc dwc etc etc quick access menu. so i know the button is working,
just the DRL menu with the auto and manual setting is gone, right now the drls are on high permanently.

STRANGE

Funny. I was checking for the same thing yesterday, on my 2019 bike. Also not there anymore. And, I always thought it was there. Presumably removed by an update. Mine isn't stuck in high beam. D'you have a stock set of switches?

Do you both have the JP 8-button left control? I have them installed on my bike (2021) and don't have a problem with the DRL.

yes sir I do, is your DRL button the one directlt behind the blue high beam button
im being told that 2022 and up had DRL but being a U.S. model, mine would have to come with DRL
now, i have been hit on the had many times and had more than one CHI, but i remember being able to choose auto or manual control in that DRL menu
and my son remembers using that button , i also recall seeing the green DRL light on the screen and the M when in manual mode , he does as well

Yup, behind the high beam button. I know you can disable it in the ECU. Has anyone been in there poking around?

pretty weird, if anyone else has had this happen please gimme some wisdom..
it may have to go to the dealership to turn the feature back on.
but it makes no sense that it would dissapear,
i know i sound like a crazy person right now.

does anyone know if the obdstar scanner can get that feature turned back on or am i barking up the wrong tree, and it needs to go back to the dealership.
i know its just the drls but i like for things tp work the way they a were supposed to.
its just strange that the DRL menu is gone.. i wouldnt think a loose connection or stray wire would cause the menu to change.

You can turn it off with the OBDStar so it defaults to the low or parking light mode. I think it's in the dash settings but I don't remember if it removes the indicator from the dash and switch functionality.

FIXED
Thanks y replay.
I guess, need to use you way also😄.

when you said it defaulted to low....... the light came on in my damn head, i thought back to when i used melco diag to remove the DTCs i had..i was messin around with the tests that it could do an i was checking what worked on melco diag and what didnt work.. well it has DRL on and DRL off, when you hit the on it goes to high drl and on off it goes to low drl setting, so i remembe thinking ok that test works. so i hooked up melco diag again and hit the DRL on button and the DRLs went to high setting.. then i went to the button and hit it and they would cycle to high and low DRL settiing. It did not even occur to me that this meant to disable the function all together....then i looked on the menu and DRL was back under the tire calibration like it used to be. so all is well again. and once again i am reminded to not be pushing buttons unless i understand what they do..but how in the hell will i learn if i dont.. anyway thanks bp

Hey guys, I know this is an older thread. But I have a 2022 Streetfighter V2 that is missing the DRL setting in the menu, bike defaults to low beams. I’ve had the motorcycle in and out of my local Ducati dealership to help troubleshoot for months now and they seem to be at a loss. Should my dealership have OBDStars to enable this feature and should know where to check? My issue sounds very similar, and I would think they have the know how and equipment to quickly fix. I would check myself but can’t justify the investment in the tool just for this issue alone.

The dealer doesn’t have OBDStar, they have the actual diagnostic device, DDS. You can turn off the DRL with the dealer tool or any similar scan tool. I think it’s actually set that way be default for some markets.

I unfuqt (my own fault) mine with melco diag..im not sure if obstar can do it.

There you qj..its either melco diag or obdstar..or dealership i think..hopefully thats all it is
