I have one of these BRAND NEW in box with the carbon key. Cap is Gold Color.
Comes with four new mounting bolts as well. I have one in red mounted on my bike now. See attached pic.

For this cap do u keep the key attached to the bike key ring or is it too big and you just pocket it? Just wondering about getting the red one myself as well

I was told to locktight the set screw - didn't, and lost it. I found a screw at the hardware store, I think like a 2 or 3, fit fine. As for being on the keyring, I already had a fob plus the alarm, so it got a bit crowded. Looks better with it on IMO.

PS - Red is too glitzy, like gloss CF

So let's do this. I understand it's the one with the gold ring (instead of red on your bike), and it has a bolt you can use to keep the key on the cap? and it's brand new? Correcto?
