I use a Canyon Dancer II Bar Harness to secure the bike in the trailer. Been using one for years on other bikes. Just dawned on me that the fly by wire throttle might not appreciate that.

Am I damaging my non-cable throttle by using this on the trailer?

Ya, i could go with the pitbull restraint system. $$$.

I had a similar product to canyon dancers. I didn’t like them because you had to load the forks. Did the Pitbull thing when I had my 5’-8’ box trailer. Very secure and easy to do, I just didn’t like how the front wheel wasn’t secure. Definitely an expensive option. Currently using a Bakley chock with their hold down kit. I have this nylon rig that wraps on the back tire and use tie the ends of it forward and slightly outward. This is a little more flexible as i can put the chock in the bed of my truck or use it with a trailer. It isn’t bike specific either.

We have been using canyon dancers when towing to the track on our Kendon trailer. Yea, it does tug on the grips but other plastic and hard parts are ok. I have the Pit Bull rear wheel stand but I can't use it on the Kendon trailer so I'm stuck doing old school.

I rigged a Pitbull TRS on my Kendon, but not ideal. Why doesn't someone design an open trailer compatible with these? Great method to secure bikes.

Yea, the whole trailer thing is a bit frustrating. Debated doing an enclosed trailer, and selling one of the 2 Kendons we have. Using the second trailer to bring the Hyper Motards to the track. We don't want to clutter the driveway with all our RV and trailer stuff etc.

Anyway, this is our current configuration for the Panigales:

You'll get better gas mileage with open trailers for sure. Even the heavy U-Haul one was better than a 5'-8' box. You get a lot more peace of mind with an enclosed box, especially if you have to stay overnight at a hotel.

^ Yea, we have been lucky to drive directly to the track with the SUV and Class A towing the the Hyper Bikes. Peace of mind for sure. You never know when some sorry ass thief will try and make your life difficult. Out of sight out of mind.

I use a Cycle Cynch at the front in conjunction with a Baxley chock so I don't need to overly compress the forks. Most times I tie down the rear wheel with a few straps. Cycle Cynch also has rear wheel strap.

If I didn't have to such a variety of bikes to haul the Pitbull TRS would be super nice.
