im glad your not having issues. I have had something from day 1 and i know you actually ride your bike often from what you post and having talked to you. I also know many let their bike sit in their garage and dont ride and will claim nothing wrong. when their warranty is up they will ride and find out the hard way with 500 miles on it being 2 years old.

I was with gunny on sunday. his shifter fell apart. he hadnt been on his bike in a while and they were professionally installed. i think thats a problem. I know its a vtwin. i know there are vibrations. most bikes have these issues and you dont hear it as much.

The bike looks great runs great and i get pleasure in riding it, however i dont want to spend a day riding then a day fixing id rather 2 days riding.

I can totally sympathise with you... I have 6500+ on mine in a year so its no garage queen.. Dash has been my only issue and it threw into question my feelings about this bike...so in a way I have been there... I think you have to make a decision based solely on your own experiences... I agree with Trauma..it would be a shame to not have you among the 1199 owners but an unreliable/needy bike sux....

I wouldn't blame your dealer's lack of skill (or specifically the tech) on the Ducati brand. You can't say this is the case at every Ducati dealer in the world so it's not "a Ducati thing".

Has your little brother hacked into your account agian? This is soooo tame for you :D

Have the ducabike rearsets on the first pani i owned. Loved them, had great grip, looked much better than the stock one by far. The only issue I had was that they were hard to switch gears. Then i put them on my new pani and they dont fit right. They are loose like they dont belong on the bike at all. Im actually thinking of selling them in the near future.

I have had the DP rear sets coming off along with various bits and bobs and it sure is concerning. However, I have learnt and observed one general rule related to secure bolting. When applying Locktite, it needs EIGHT hours to set, not FOUR but EIGHT. Every single vibration/loose bolt I have experienced I can trace back to a less than EIGHT setting period for the locktite. Since I learnt this issue I have had no loose bolts. In summary, allow as much time as you can for the locktite to set.

good to know cali thanks i will do it on late sunday so it has a 5 days to set
