Has anyone installed the new fendor eliminator? I am having issues understanding the directions? I can't determine how to install the LED to the new fixture, not sure if supposed to use bolts off the original or missing them from the new kit. Any help or pics appreciated

A few people have mentioned that the kit is missing a couple of self tapping screws. So they went and purchase some at their local hardware store. I have the DP kit waiting for me when I get home so I'm anticipating having to buy these screw too.

YOu need to buy 4mm bolts about 3/4" long. Four of these anchor the cf piece to the fender. The two slanted threaded shafts on the cf piece (the ones angled back, serve a dual purpose as they also attach the licence plate light.

I put the whole thing, didn't like the spindly attachment for the turn sigs and too the whole thing of, I'm going to buy the evotech.

Thanks for the reply's.

Interesting that I would have to buy more hardware after spending $300 for an eliminator kit.

Also, Dealer just called and said all the kits are missing these bolts.

Wtf. That is pretty poor from Ducati. I may get my dealer to put it on when I pick up my bike. He can worry about the missing bolts then.

I ordered kit and was to be fitted when picked my S. That was just over a month ago, dealer found kit did not work and eventually Ducati agreed and have taken all the kits back from my dealer and we are waiting on replacement. Dealer tells me the kits they are now shipping should work - just out of stock......

Looks like more reason to get dealer to fit it. Maybe by the time I get mine it will have been sorted out.

Nick Its not hard to fit
Go to jaycar and buy packs of M3 x 10mm long and M3 x 15mm long. You need two of each but you have to buy packs of about 20.

Cost about $7 total. It looks good. Why pay a dealer when you can do it yourself.

I am glad I did as I got to learn how the rear tail is put together.

U leave out the toolkit and use that space for spare wire. No soldering.

And you get a 200 gram weight saving over stock.

Yeah, its a good kit, and I have also installed it myself. I had to pick up some screws to finish it off. But kit looks good now.

Oops my ad. I told everyone they were m4 bolts but they're actually m3

They need to redesign how the turn sigs are held in place, it's very fragile setup.
