Hi Guys,
To get more airflow into my airbox with a BMC airfilter...a mechanic friend of mine suggested that when I remove the tank, to clean my BMC airfilter, I can simply do away and remove the oem screen on my original plastic air filter frame housing that holds the BMC or stock airfilter in place.
Which I did, and now noticed dramatic difference in performance as more airflow now gets into the airbox with my BMC.
The aluminum screen that is connected to the oem airfilter frame backing plate does restrict airflow...he was right.
Glad I did it...
