if the 1198 trumps the KTM rc8 R why compare it with the new Panigale? the ktm is an awesome bike but it runs out of steam easily and this is compared to an 1198 vtwin.
RC8R has won and lost reviews against the 1198 and is the current version tweaked by KTM so it makes sense to test them head to head. Esp. since 99% stay on the street and even on the track 99% of owners cannot use them to full capacity.
Went by a dealer who sells both and obviously the Ducati is the leading tech bike but the KTM should not be ignored, it is a great bike.
