2013 will be an interesting year for Ducati in MotoGP:

- Vale leaves Ducati for Yamaha (which I totally understand).
- Ben Spies once appeared headed out of MotoGP but now looks to be a part of the 'junior' Ducati MotoGP team.
- Iannone moves to the Ducati 'junior' team in MotoGP from Moto2.
- Dovi has a great year on the Tech3 Yamaha team and signs with Ducati despite some initial reservations.
- And last but not least Nicky is back with Ducati for (at least) one more year.

Can't wait to see how it all plays out! :D

Seems like Ducati is "the" american team. The only 2 Americans in MotoGp will ride for them.

Don't know if anyone else read it but I really chuckled when I read that Iannone had beat Rossi's time at Mugello on the GP12 in what I think was only his 2nd ever time on the bike. Sounds impressive!

I'm thinking Dovi will be good for Ducati too. One hopes ofcourse that as the only CRT rider to get podiums, he can do even better on factory machinery. However even if not his history suggests he will be a real asset in development.

Spies has "it" IMHO, but with "bad luck" and even hints that he may have been sabotaged by Yamaha to vacate the seat, he is better off with Ducati. I sincerely hope he will blossom and show his talent at Ducati.

I respect Rossi of course, but like many others I'm a little bitter the dream team didn't produce anything. Some blame Rossi but many more Ducati. Personally I don't care who, but am dissappointed.

So for me I'd like to see Ducati make a historic comeback and take the title next year. I know that is probably a fantasy but how wicked would it be if the GP 13 won the title and showed Rossi he just should have stuck it out?

Is do I not on a satellite team not CRT? He's defo the safe option for Ducati, but I don't think he will do well, just glad it meant Cal didn't come to Ducati, I think he can do better on the Yamaha.

Not that the CRT bikes really count anyway, but is it confirmed that Colin Edwards won't be in MotoGP next year?

@ Magoo LOL, ok forgot about him at the back there !

It seems like balanced teams, an Italian and an American in each. 2 steady experienced hands in the senior team to aid development and if possible get some podiums. Junior team some wilder boys maybe capable of riding the bike beyond it's limit like stoner was?

Regards Crutchlow, I don't regard him as highly as he does himself ;) Out of the 2 riders at Tech 3 Dovi is most definately the better one IMHO. I think Cal still needs more experience and more determination.

It's all 6 of this or half a dozen of the other to be honest. Only time will tell.
