I've been very interested to know the price, thanks so much duc.

Yeah we do pay a bit more for our Duc's, the Yanks are very lucky indeed.

Regards Steve

Could it be the long shipping distance/insurance/import taxes? or solely on distributors's profit and some road related taxes?

Not to bad for you....i think we may own the throne for being the most ripped-off here...Singapore..

Superbikes
SBK 848EVO $36,600.00 (SGD)
SBK 848EVO Corse (Available Feb 2012) $39,900.00

thanks for he price, but when I ask my dealer how much a Tricolore is I am quoted $42,990. Isn't $39K enough? What is the extra $3K for?

should just buy one from the USA and if it dies just buy another one.... still cheaper!!!!!!!!

My lord... I feel soooo much better knowing what I paid for mine here in Texas.

Wow.

should just buy one from the USA and if it dies just buy another one.... still cheaper!!!!!!!!

wont you still have to pay for freight, shipping insurance, getting it certified for Oz roads etc etc etc... that all adds up. Plus local warranty.

You pay 36K on road for an S model in Sydney.

Thanks Guys,
Don't feel too bad, but if $AUS is better than the $US we should be able to get the Tri here on the road for about $AUS 33K on the road. Surely our price anyone should be on par with the USA as there is no bike industry in AUS to protect or is it all govt taxes and fee's as I suspect?:confused::rolleyes:

Yep, $36000 AUD here in OZ. (S). Yeah, I heard the yanks are paying just $20000 (US) which equates to just under 20 k here. Unbelievable. We are paying huge Govt fees to protect a motorcycle industry we don’t have!!I don’t want to hear any more Americans complaining about the price of their bikes. My heart does go out to the fella in Singapore. Their prices are just ridiculous

well i use to complain

but thinking about it
its not bad

now im australian and why would i say that
well the average wage in aus is $60k
im sure US is around 30-35K,
so we do earn about 150% which is funny enough same about price inflation

well in asia vehicle is 300% so for such a small country like australia we should be greatful it isnt 200%+

sorry edited in
you need to add in the fact australia dont have buying power to multi purchase 1 item
Bulk buy as you would say
USA mite buy 1000 and still sell them all
australia wouldnt handle 100 models

i thought and complain about this in the past
but our life isnt hard. we can try make it betta but hey if the government can make 1k off you they will or they would say buy sumthing cheaper
