Just got this through my local club, anyone going to one?

Ducati - Ducati Dream Tour - Ducati Dream Tour

Which bike would you recommend:

Multistrada 1200 S Touring
Multistrada 1200 S GT
Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak
Monster 796/1100 EVO
Hypermotard SP
Hypermotard Hyperstrada
Diavel Strada

i guess i am gonna move back to germany and do this every summer... :D

yep I was thinking about doing this as it's very inexpensive, but the air fare is the killer.

I rode those roads in 2003 on amonster in the motogiro ditalia. Incredible experience!

As ducati is handling the luggage, hands down I'd go with a monster or possibly a hypermotard. The monster is jsut ideally suited for some of the narrow roads not to mention cobblestone roads etc.

That'd be my choice.

If a miracle or act of God occurred, and my wife went with me, I was thinking the Multistrade Touring would be the most comfortable.

I agree, especially with a passenger. Any of the MTS's actually, but the PP does't come with panniers and it would be nice to have some space to carry around a camera, water, etc... I am just amazed at how fun they are to ride. I think the new Hyper would be a great choice if I were riding single though.
