Ducati Performance Brake/Clutch Levers

Stupid question coming up: What are the advantages I would notice with upgraded levers?

My mistake.. that is correct.. and as far as I saw when putting them on the stock plungers will fit and work..

Maybe my fault for not explaining fully.

Anyhoo, I agree, l think they could fit straight in. Looking at separating the levers though I'm kind of assuming that I have to knock out the hollow pin/bushing? Looks like it might be tricky while trying not to damage the finish and they're spring loaded which could be another thing.

Anyone have any experience with this???

i have crg carbon levers.perfect!!!!advantage in california while lane splitting stock levers are wide and crg shortys work very well

You have to completely disassemble the levers to put the oem plungers in.. PITA really.. but doable..

The DP Levers are perfect except for two things: They're too long and they're expensive. I had Lightech on my first bike. Did not like. Went with CRG Carbons and love 'em. Yes, you have to take the plungers off the stock levers, which takes about 1 minute each (and a really tiny allen wrench).

I've started actually thinking about the levers now :p I'm using my whole hand on the clutch, but only 2 fingers on the brake... Is that me being weird? I'm thinking about buying a CRG set with a shorty brake...

I have the DP levers on my 1199S....simply love the feel and quality.
Most of all, I like their length as it gives me more leverage when applying the clutch and brake.

Cant go wrong getting the DP levers....

Expensive?? Well its a Ducati and putting el Cheapo parts on a Ducati is a big nono for me!

Hi Chris,
Absolutely love them. They look beautiful and have great micro adjustment.
Not for everyone, and not cheap, but I would get a set if you can afford them.

Jock
Are the DP clutch and brake levers the same length as the stock ones?

No, they're not. The DPs are shorter and that's what I don't quite like about them. They also have a little more travel to them then the stock. I preferred the feel of the stock; I like the feel of the stock levers on my 15 R over the DPs I have on my 13R.

I'm getting tired of mashing down on my fingers if I'm not paying attention... I'll try a set out. Kind of pricey though ($400).

There are a few sellers around saying that TWN TWM Special components are the ones that make the levers (and a few other parts) for Ducati.
They look pretty good. (apart from the massive Italian flag on everything)

Any one can confirm? or just dodgey sellers again.

DP levers cost the same in Australia as a RCS MC upgrade.....

I can confirm the levers and gas cap are TWM and the flags are just decals that can be removed (unlike the gaudy Ducati Performance markings).

Yep, the stickers come off. I installed the TWM levers this past Sunday. Super easy, literally 1 nut and bolt with a 4mm hex and a 10mm wrench.

They're identical to the DP levers, minus the ducati etching... ~$250 worth of etching, apparently.

Things to note:

-The "shorty" levers are only about an inch shorter than stock (attached). If you're looking for a lever that doesn't touch your ring-finger, these aren't the ones for you.

-The fine-adjustment screw is brilliant

yea just get the RCS stuff,no brainer imo

Ordered the TWM levers for some spare :) wish I'd known before shelling out on the DP ones!

TWM Special Components are the makers of the Ducati Performance levers.
They also manufacture the Brembo levers and Austin Racing levers as well.
The owner is part of the Marchesini family and yes they are top notch and proudly made in Italy.
I've known them for years and have had her products on every bike I've owned the last 15 years or so. They are honest, priced unbelieavably well (especially compared to CRG, AGV, DP, LighTech, etc.) and ships same day.

You guys ever need anything let me know.
