Oh no, three seconds slower than laverty? and is ridden by my favorite rider Carlos Checa?:( if Ducati has tricks up their sleeves they should bring it out now, oh please. I felt sad for the 1198 loosing last season and for the 1199 to loose(below podium) this season will be a big blow to me as a fan.

im not big race fan, but i know i HAVE THEE fastest MACHINE on the street and everyone else can kiss my ass!! DUCATI ALL THE WAY!!!

My 1199 is great, but I dont see it doing a whole lot better than the 1198 in wsbk. That kawi is a rocketship these days.

True but they can't seem to make the tires last an entire race. Until they can, I don't see Kawi as a serious contender. While I hate to say it the Aprilia and ugh the BMW are the cream of the crop right now. I expected the 1199 to need some development time, but to be this far off is disappointing to say the least. But here's the good news. With it's current performance we don't have to worry about weight penalties or throttle body restrictions anytime soon !!

I know that used to be the case, but look at last season. They figured it out and only lost to Biaggi by .5 point. And he was taken out by another rider in one round. This year will be a dogfight with BMW/Ape/Kawi.

I'm HOPING the 1199 comes into form soon. Hopefully they aren't sandbagging to be allowed more engine work. Was also hoping the RC8R would compete. I love the variety in the field of WSBK.

regardless the 1199 in my mind is CREAM OF CROP, bmw can chole on fumes! and so kawi, though i like their 600cc as stunt bike

You do know the BMW is a good bit faster in street trim yeah? :D
If that's the only reason you love your bike that could be upsetting!

The Panigale will improve for sure - the Moto Gp times are horrible though. That's a developed bike!

Both the BMW and Kawi are a good bit faster in street and race trim. I'm not sure what Aprilia does to the v4 in race trim but is does wake up and go like stink.

Well "racing improves the breed" Give Ducati 1199 Panigale more Race time and R&D while on the WSBK series...then we, Panigale owners will soon be proud when they clinch their first World SBK Championship.

We will.......soon! Its just a matter of time. Ducati built one awesome vtwin Testatretta motor, what more with the new 1199 "Superquadro" engine.

The BMW/KAW riders have years of experience on thier bikes. Give someone time to take advantage of the 1199's power/wieght ratio and geometry, and and it could bring Ducati back to where it used to be. I still think now with all of VW behind it, someone at the top is going to insist they have a winning motorcycle in their stable!!
