Does DTC and DWC affect acceleration making the new SFV4S slow? There is clearly a difference between my Gen 1 Diavel and Streetfighter when it comes to acceleration. Here's what I mean. Diavel set on sport its highest programed setting. Streetfighter set on sport its middle setting but with the power output changed to high\dynamic. Where at 50mph the Diavel reaches a top gear pull speed of 120mph, my SFV4S barely makes 100mph and that's with dropping down two gears. I'm curious because the SFV4S is running great and you'd think 180rwhp would do better:(

From my understanding, not in depth knowledge, they have 1st thru 4th power limited for ride-ability. I have not found a real source to confirm though.

And my 2021 is not out of run in yet, so haven't tried compared to what my Pani did.

Heard that one too. Software imbedded from the factory. There's even one rumor it's because of the death of Carlin Dunne during development. I don't take much stock in rumours but a dyno won't show that it's been programed for this.

Just hoping for any thoughts before turning off the safeties.

What gear are you starting in on the SFV4S? What level do you have DTC & DWC on as they will affect acceleration when using the upper levels 5 to 8. You are also comparing a twin to a V4 but and the twin definitely pulls harder to start.

In sport there is clearly a difference in torque between 2nd and 5th gears. I am at wc1 and not sure about tc I’ll look later.

DTC 5 DWC 4
I believe these are default.
At first I started out in 6th. The next time 4th. The later attempt was faster but not even close to the Diavel.

Do you think the computer has different imbedded non-customizable parameters for street, sport, and race?

i am not sure if torque is limited based on mode, I mean you could test it by changing street mode to full power and give it a rip. I do remember seeing somewhere that Ducati said torque was limited in gears 1-4 I think 5 gets a little more and 6 was full, but I could be wrong about that last part. I under stand why they did it, it makes the bike very ride able but after my first oil change i got on it in 2nd and after the crazy power from 8-11k 12k+ seemed to plateau. Not what I was expecting and a bit disappointing.
