Hello thanks for your responseStrap the front, all your weight on the bars. Feet up quick ready to bang the next gear. Drop a tooth one in the front. Take a couple rear sprockets in incriments of 2 tooth(or one if you have the money bit you can only go so far with the same chain link count) they are quick to swap. Adjust the DTC and/or feel for spinning(if you are quick enough and if you are overpowering the tire for the conditions). That's what I would do but I'm not into drag racing.
Correct with dropping one tooth making it more nervous but the motor makes a lot more power further in the rpm . It will give you a stronger light and you won't run out of gear by the time you cross the line . It's going to be trial and error till you figure it out and then the next time......you will be close but still need to adjust due to track conditions ever changing and track Temps. There is an equation for gearing when working with a limited amount of power in a given distance. Gearcommander dot com can help. The rest is up to you controlling the power and not overpowering the grip. If people are running (example) 10s 1/4 mile at 150mph then gear the bike to redline at 170mph in 6th gear and figure out how to control that excess power. Yes your top speed is lowered significantly vs OEM but we aren't doing a top speed run, we just want to get from here____________to here as fast as you can. More speed at 3/4 mile doesn't mean anything, more speed at 1 mile doesn't mean anything. Here______________to here as fast as you can, 200mph is not needed for the majority of street bikes at a drag strip. It's just wasted unused power. Switch gearing back when you want to daily drive it again.Hello thanks for your response
If I drop front gear my bike will be more nervous
So more wheelies
I tried +1 but my bike was a little bit wierd and changed it again
