It's a 45 minute job. Not to mention, it's a cost of doing business as the dealer can't display big ... boxes on the showroom floor. And the manufacturer pays the dealer prep time and dealers get that money in the quarterly hold back check, at least they do in the auto industry.
same for the motorcycle industry , though the salesman will lie straight to your face about it. possibly not a lie if they don't know this though.
so the profit on the bike in question is more like 5k
But maybe a dealer making money is a good thing - every japanese dealership within an hour drive of me has gone out of business in the past five years.
