Should be near the battery... or in the front fairing opening.

Side note, tach lead, from youtube vids I saw, are being taken from under the tank on one of the coils

NOt sure it helps much... this is from the 19 Spare Parts catalog
#1(arrow) is ECU
#26(circle) is the battery

I believe the part pictured with the white sticker is the ECU.

I believe you are correct, the part number on the black plastic piece corresponds to the part number for the ECU Vibration Damper Holder... part 2 in the schematic

*EDIT* and for those of us not torn the bike apart yet... where is that? Looks like the frame rail?

that is going to be impossible to grab a tach lead from , damn

Hi Vcyclenut,

When replacing the bolts with ProTi, I found out that the part pointed by my thumb is the RPM pick up sensor, and the part pointed out by my index finger is the connector to that RPM pick up sensor.
It is easily accessible if you remove the right fairing. Would you be able to tap from this connector?

idk ill try it next time im on the dyno, thanks!!

Does anyone Know If just The Side Fairing needs to be Removed to take Out the Ecu or Does the fuel Tank need to be removed?

asking As Brentuning Doesn't have a ID For my ECU. So they want me to send it in

I think you would have to pull the tank to get enough clearance to the connector off, but that isn't a heavy lift. Once you've done it, it's not that bad.

Pump the brakes on Bren. I would not go that route. Hit up @DeussenEngines first. I could not be happier with my tune or the level of service I have received.

Well i bought the Programmer From them For my CBR1000RR but i sold the Bike and asked if They Can Tune My Ducati instead because i never Flashed the Honda. They agreed. I'm Pretty sure They wont Refund The Programmer

Bren uses the same hand held device @DeussenEngines uses, there might be a way to reassociate the device with Daniel.

I'd seriously steer away from Bren, plenty of horror stories have been told from people dealing with them.

As @bp_SFV4 said... @DeussenEngines will take care of all tuning requirements and support.

Fair Enough Appreciate The info, I would like to be Removing the fuel Tank when the First Service Interval on Valve Clearance is due not For a Ecu Removal lol.

Pretty sure the DimSport device is linked to the tuner. They can link it to new vehicles, but they can't be swapped from tuner to tuner. Sure Deussen will confirm or otherwise.

Thanks for the referral. As Rick had already mentioned, the hardware is locked to the tuner that sold it. As all Dimsport devices use the same database also all tuners that use Dimsport would have to provide the original calibration that is in the ECU at the time of the handheld connecting to it to Dimsport to update the database. So if Bren says it is not in the database currently then I would also have the same issue for the moment. I do have access to another database that will very likely have the missing calibration and I can get it to Dimsport to get it into their database.
