If memory serves.....
The first version of software on 2012 bikes was programmed to switch dipped beam ON, right away at key turn. This obviously placed extra load on the battery for no reason during starting.
Then after the software upgrade, the bike would ONLY switch side LEDs ON, then dipped beam after engine start.
All you can do with the controls is switch between dipped & full beam and flash, there is no on/off switch on Euro bikes.
