I was curious about this new update DTC EVO2 - SOFTWARE FOR SLICK – RAIN TYRES“ 96580211A and reached out my guy at Ducati Canada with some question. Below was his response:

- Is it V4R only? Yes

- Does it change anything on the dash to indicated it’s been installed such as new menu options? To my knowledge no, same as it is

- Is it calibrated to a specific tire or brand? No, all tires are compatible through a tire teach in

- Is it dealer installed? yes

- If so do they need to order a dongle or is done over the internet via the DDS? Via the DDS after order placed for the part number

- How much does it cost? $878CAD

Sounds interesting. On my V4R, one problem I have is that DTC on level one is still too intrusive. Maybe, because it's specifically for the road tyres, and slicks have more grip, so it holds you back too much. This update sounds like it could help out.
I also find the engine brake control is still too high, even on level three. I'd like the engine to drag less.

The EVO2 update for the R changes the riding modes from Race, Sport, and Street to Race Evo, Sport Evo, and Wet Evo. If you go into the settings and drop into the DTC config levels 1-6 shows a "SLICK TIRE ONLY!" warning and 7-8 show a "RAIN TIRE ONLY!" warning. Will see how it works out soon enough.

the 3 evo modes are available for the regular S as well, upon getting the EVO2 update.

The 2020 V4S comes with the Evo 2 packages and does not have the Evo ride modes. The slip-on or full system mapping may be needed in concert to change the standard 3 to Evo

I guess mine could need updates. Also notice that the configurator shows the Evo 2 as an addon also.

Looks like the up-date comes from the new SL. I think it’s the same I saw some time ago at the presentation at the factory.
